We need your help to bring Ohio Play to life on stage!
In a post Roe World, Ohio Play, written by New York-based artist Dylan Sherman, follows the story of Viv, a 17-year old girl confronting the challenges of accessing abortion services. Viv grapples with mental health issues, financial inaccessibility, and a lack of parental support– all things that actively bar a girl’s right to choose. This play does not shy away from the raw, unfiltered realities faced by young women today. It is a deeply human story filled with humor and heartache.
After a sold out developmental performance earlier this year, Ohio Play is taking its next step toward a full-scale production.

Where your support goes:
We’re raising funds to cover the cost of renting Theater Under St. Marks, an affordable space that supports local artists. What we need is a space to let the actors and story breathe. We believe in the power of simplicity. Our minimalist set and costume design keeps the focus on the language, characters, and emotional depth of the story. Every donation goes directly towards secure the space we need to share this bold and provoking story with the community.
Why now?
Now, more than ever, Ohio Play needs to be heard. This is a crucial time for the play to evolve. The political and social landscape around reproductive rights has only intensified since then. The urgency of this story has deepened, and with that, we’re seeking to take this production further. With your support, we can make sure this story reaches the audiences it’s meant to move, challenge, and inspire.
Your generosity helps make this possible. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to sharing this vital work. Thank you for helping us bring Ohio Play to life!
