Hello, my name is Jhane and unfortunately I’m seeking assistance to pay for my ESA eye surgery. My grandma, sister, little brother and dog was in my moms front yard watching my nieces (5 & 10)play with chalk. This old man (still waiting to get his name from the police) was walking down the street under the influence of alcohol with a stick and golf club and started to stager near our home and my dog began to ONLY bark (NEVER ATTACKED) this man and he hit my dog in her eye unfortunately rupturing her eye . When I was informed I ran outside to ask him why he hit my dog and he began to swing the golf club at me and at that point YES I defended myself(whole different story) I then ran to find my dog who was hiding under my little brothers bed and I tell you my SOUL LEFT MY BODY ! I felt so helpless and Baby was so scared and confused…..The police were called and animal control. The MESSED UP PART ABOUT IT IS…. They are saying if he felt threatened he had the right to defend his self but my service dog was doing the same she just never attacked him. Unfortunately we are stuck with a HIGH emergency vet bill and only more to come. If anybody knows me and Baby they know she is a SWEETHEART! I know there are pet activists and etc that are willing to help but I don’t know how to find them ! So please just share this and hopefully the right person sees this !
- The first vet bill was pretty high and thank goodness I was able to get a loan for. But it has now opened my eyes to what will come.Unfortunately her Pets insurance is only good for the small things and this is a completely different ball game. Her first visit to VEG was $909. For eye surgery we are looking at $2500+. For medication it’s been priced at $150-200 and she will definitely need to go through ESA training and some therapy to keep her mental health in a great place. Her medication will change after we get the surgery done and I have no clue whatthat could cost. I thank you alllllll for the love and support both Baby and I NEED ALL THE LOVE WE CAN GET DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
