On Wednesday, September 12th, 2018, Brenda was airlifted from Sleepy Eye Medical Center to a regional hospital. While in route, Brenda went into cardiac arrest and suffered a massive heart attack. Her heart stopped and the lucas CPR device was used for approximately 40 minutes, Brenda was defibrillated approximately 10 times and when her pulse returned, she was rushed into Cathlab to have a stent put in her heart to reopen her main artery. She was sedated in the ICU for 3 days and remained in the ICU for another 4 days. She is progressing and recovering well, but she will still need medical care once she is returns home. We are raising funds to help pay the medical expenses from this emergency and to cover some of her personal costs while she is away from her full-time job. All donations are greatly appreciated. Brenda and her family graciously thank everyone that has kept her and the family in their thoughts and prayers throughout this journey. We have a long road ahead, but Brenda is one strong lady!!
