Taylor Family Medical Fund
Donation protected
Hi this is Ron Taylor, and I am putting together a fund to get my family (wife Roxanne and daughter Stephanie) through our recent medical nightmare(s). Quick summary of events:
In September of 2021 I underwent life-saving AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) surgery. At the same time, I was diagnosed with Esophageal/Stomach cancer. After surgery and pre and post operative chemotherapy, I continued on with regular checkups. In November of 2022, our daughter Stephanie (Type 1 Diabetic) had an emergency amputation of her left leg (below the knee) due to a life-threatening sepsis infection caused by hardware failure of the pin in her ankle. In November of 2023 I had emergency surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in the right side of my brain. Followed up with radiation treatment and I currently am in a new round of chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments the results of which we will know shortly. Stephanie then found out in late February that her kidneys were only functioning at 4 percent and had to start dialysis. We are currently working on getting set up for home dialysis but that will require some modifications to our home, and we also need to renovate our home workspace that we all share to accommodate our new medical realities and carry on our several business activities.
Over the past few years, we have been drained mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. Over the past few years, we have incurred over 30,000 in medical related expenses. As a husband and a father, the ordeal of all my surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments was nothing compared to the pain in my heart watching my daughter deal with her amputation and my dear wife's struggle to deal daily with the constant storm swirling around her. I plan to stick around as long as possible to continue to support them. We remain strong in our resolve to keep fighting, but it has not been easy. We are looking for a light at the end of the tunnel, but not another train coming to hit us.
