Sharing the Love of Jesus in Zarzal, Colombia

– Clean Water, Hope, and Opportunity

In Zarzal, Colombia—a small town two hours north of Cali—life is marked by daily struggles.

Families live without running water or electricity, relying on long bicycle trips to fetch a single 5-gallon bucket of water each day. Beyond these physical challenges, many face a deeper need: the hope and love that only Jesus can provide.

This July, I will join a mission team to bring practical solutions and spiritual renewal to this resilient community.

Our Mission:

We are committed to transforming lives in Zarzal through three powerful initiatives:

1. Clean Water Access:

We will design and install solar-powered water catchment systems for three homes. These systems will provide families with running water for the first time, eliminating exhausting daily trips and restoring dignity to their daily lives.

2. Sustainable Income Generation:

We will teach residents how to create beautiful beaded jewelry using accessible materials and techniques. Once completed, we will import their creations to Puerto Rico to sell on their behalf, giving them a sustainable way to generate income and improve their quality of life.

3. Sharing the Love of Jesus: At the heart of this mission is sharing the Gospel and inviting the community into a relationship with Christ. We will host a revival in the village plaza with preaching, worship, and evangelizing—bringing hope, joy, and unity through the transformative love of Jesus.
