Hi, my name is Rachel and I’m Jerry & Therese’s oldest daughter. On Sunday morning April 30th my Dad suffered a TIA (transient ischemic attack). Therese and their close family friend, Rosie, took him to McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. While there undergoing tests to determine the cause of his symptoms it was determined he later in the evening had a pontine stroke. This left the right side of his body immobile and him unable to speak.

Dad is currently out of work and Therese hasn’t left his side also causing her to miss work. They’re currently unsure of coverage for missed work and medical bills. And although they have health insurance the medical bills will surely start coming in. After Dad is released from the ICU/hospital the doctors predict physical therapy and speech therapy will need to continue and likely in a rehab facility until Dad is strong enough to go home. 

Dad and Therese would never ask for help on their own behalf. If God puts it on your heart to contribute towards his recovery, every penny counts.
