Help for Harvey- Vet Bills and Oncologist Consult
Donation protected

Harvey's presence has brought smiles, laughter, and confidence to many young people throughout the course of his life. Ever patient. Always a good boy. Harvey has spent countless hours with children in classrooms from MA to NY, read with kids at libraries, and snuggled up with kids in their time of need as a therapy dog and loveable classroom companion.
Now, Harvey needs some help. I am hoping his good deeds in this lifetime will encourage some good karma to come back his way.
Recently, Harvey underwent an emergency splenectomy. There was a mass that had grown to the size of a bagel (10 cm diameter) attached to his spleen. It was a surprise and time sensitive. I am forever grateful to the veterinarians at Stack Veterinary Hospital and Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center for their swift and decisive action. Had they not had the wherewithal to suggest imaging when they did, and the care to call around and find a medical center that would help in time, Harvey would likely not be here with us today.
Upon his return from the hospital, another mass was found on his front paw. This has since been removed and deemed to be an irregular circumstance. A visit with a canine oncologist will help determine next steps, and what to look out for as they were unable to remove it all because of how it was attached.
In order to help support his continued recovery, and supplement the cost of his surgeries, I am sending this out to the universe in hopes that there is someone with something to spare. The final bill from his splenectomy was $7458.21 and in addition to the removal of the tumor on his foot, his vet bills have exceeded $10,000 between October and now. I am asking for much less- enough to pay back loans from friends and family, and to put toward a consult with an oncologist.
Any amount will help me make sure Harvey continues to get the care he needs. Furthermore, the veterinary bills from these recent health issues have brought about extra financial stress. Any amount toward these veterinary bills will also continue to support a sense of stability for Harvey and I.
I have never filled one of these out before, or asked for assistance like this in any way. Of all the things money can buy, a few more years for this incredible doggie soul would surely be one of the better things. For all the light he has brought to this world and those of us in it, and for the hearts he has touched.
Hugs from Harvey (and Me). Thank you very much for reading and considering.
With gratitude.
Sending smiles.
