Our Journey: A Love Story on Two Wheels

Hi! We are AJ and Jamie Kingdom, a couple united by love and a shared passion for cycling. Our story began in 1997 when we met online, proving that even in the pre-millennium era, the internet was a place for wonderful connections. Since tying the knot in 1998, we've weathered life's storms together, including battles with cancer (Thyroid for Jamie, Stomach for AJ), weight challenges, and a total knee replacement for Jamie. Through all this, our bond and love for cycling have only grown stronger.

Rediscovering Our Passion

The 2020 global pandemic was a turning point for us, reigniting our teenage love for cycling. It wasn't long before we discovered the exhilarating world of velodrome racing. AJ made a splash at the 2023 US Masters Track Nationals in Rock Hill, SC, securing a 2nd and 4th place. Inspired by AJ's success, Jamie is now training hard to compete at the National level in August 2024, setting the stage for our international debut in Roubaix, France, in October 2024.

Our Dream: Roubaix 2024

Our dream is to compete together at the 2024 Masters Track World Championships in Roubaix, France. But as you can imagine, this journey isn't without its challenges.

The Challenge Ahead

Getting to Roubaix involves significant expenses:

Training: Regular coaching, equipment, maintenance, and track time.

Travel: Costs for both national and international championships.

Accommodations: Safe and comfortable lodging during our competitions.

Equipment: Up-to-date gear to stay competitive.
