Steve White was born in Liverpool and discovered his love for magic at the age of ten. That love stayed with him throughout his life.

After finishing school, Steve moved to London, where he developed his skills as a magician and became part of the magic community. He became a respected member of both Bexley Magic Society and The Magic Circle, and built a reputation for performing strong, direct magic with everyday objects, as well as street betting demonstrations.

In 2017, Steve moved to Sofia, Bulgaria, where he lived until his passing on 29 April 2026.

While in Bulgaria, Steve became an important part of the magic community there. He was involved in the establishment of the Magic Bar and Theatre in Sofia, a place where people now gather to enjoy a drink, watch live magic, and share in the kind of wonder Steve dedicated so much of his life to.

For the last few years, Steve had been battling cancer. Sadly, after a long and difficult fight, he lost that battle.

Steve spent the final years of his life mostly in solitude. He had no family members in Bulgaria to support him, and during that time, one close friend did what they could to look after him and make sure he was not completely alone.

This fundraiser has been created in Steve’s memory to help cover the funeral and related costs, and to make sure that those costs do not become a personal financial burden for the person who was there for him in his final years.

All funds collected through this GoFundMe campaign will go directly to the person arranging Steve’s funeral and related services in his honour.
