Support to the family of Immaculate Odero

We are heartbroken to confirm that CARE lost a cherished colleague, Immaculate Achieng' Odera.
On 10th March 2019, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, headed to Nairobi, crashed in Bishoftu, 60km outside of Addis Ababa. Sadly, all 157 people on board perished, and Immaculate was among them.
She was the Regional Security Officer for the Horn of Africa, and was returning home after being away for a few weeks on a field deployment.
She leaves behind her husband and young daughter, as well as a large and loving extended family and many friends and colleagues.
Immaculate was a vibrant person who left a lasting impact on all those who knew her and worked with her.
In honour of her lasting legacy at CARE, we have set up this fund to support her family, and especially her daughter.
We are very grateful for your kind donations and support to the family at this devastating time.
Donations will be forwarded to Immaculate’s husband to support memorial expenses and their daughter’s education.
