Hi, my name is Amelia-Jane McGowan and I have been given an amazing opportunity to travel to Tanzania in 2027 to complete an expedition for camps international if I am able to raise the funds to do so.

This opportunity in Tanzania is for 4 weeks, whilst there I will take part in many community projects such as building classrooms, constructing and refurbishing community buildings and installing water storage systems.

I will also take part in environmental projects such as tree planting, digging waterholes and making elephant dung paper.

To make this dream possible, I am hoping to raise £5,530. This will cover my travel, accommodation, and resources that go directly toward the community projects I will be involved in.

Every donation — big or small — will bring me one step closer to making a real difference.

I appreciate it’s a difficult time financially for people and I am aware how expensive everything is getting, so even if you can’t donate sharing this page would be gratefully appreciated ❤️

I am looking forward to being able to experience such an amazing opportunity, being able to learn new things, help other people and learn new skills. I also have a passion for animals and am hoping to encounter many of them in my time there.

This journey is about more than just travel — it’s about growth, compassion, and community. I will be a part of projects that improve education, create better facilities, and bring opportunities to those who need them most. I will learn so much about resilience, gratitude, and the power of giving back.

I will be arranging and taking part in fundraising activities to raise funds so if anyone has any ideas please share them with me I am grateful for any ideas
