Jesse's Top Surgery

Donation protected

My name's Jesse and I'm a 24 year old non-binary trans guy. I've been
on hormones for 8 months now.
My GP sent off my referral to the NHS GIC (gender identity clinic) back in July 2017 and I was told there is a 2 year minimum waiting time to receive an initial appointment. I recently found out that this is no
longer the case and the minimum waiting time has now increased.
This is just for the first appointment, not accounting for ;assessment
time, referral to be made, and then waiting list time for surgery.
I bind like most trans masculine folk which is very damaging, even with safety limits.
I currently travel around England a lot for my work, which means that I'm binding for very long periods of time. Which unfortunately exceeds recommended safe binding periods.
However this is something I need to do on a daily basis not only because of my dysphoria but for my safety. Not passing in public spaces can put me in all sorts of danger. As someone who is visibly queer looking and receives harassment from strangers, I try to minimise thethreat also through binding.
So I have decided to make this gofundme to try and raise money for me to have life changing and gender affirming surgery.
I will appreciate any donation made and if you share this.

I have already booked a consultation with Dr Miles Berry in June to see what my options are and how I can go on from there.
I can't explain how much this surgery will change my life.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
