Help support Laurie's breast cancer journey

Hello everyone,

As a lot of you know, our sister Laurie has been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. The doctors said that this cancer is aggressive and she needs to put all of her energy into fighting this.

She has appointment after appointment in the upcoming days and weeks. Chemo will be starting asap. Surgery is on hold until the chemo is done and then she will then have radiation.

Laurie works at Wawa but hasn't been there long enough to take advantage of any of their benefits. She is a single mom to Jace, 11 and Ava, 21 who is in full time student at U of D.

The funds will help cover her rent and bills during her treatment time when she is not able to work.

Anything will help. Even a few dollars. And if you can't donate, please share. We need double what she got because she still has a good 6 months to go and of course all prayers are welcome.

Laurie's cancer battle update as of 9/15/24:

Hi friends and family and all who have so kindly donated to our GoFundMe for Laurie, 

We wanted to give you an update on Laurie and where she has been, where she is and what's to come in her breast cancer fight. 

 As you all know, Laurie has stage three triple negative breast cancer. A very aggressive form of breast cancer. She just finished the first 3.5 months of chemo and she just started her second half of treatment three weeks ago. This will be the hardest part. It's a very aggressive and grueling treatment for a very aggressive disease. 

 She has not been able to work as she has been very sick from the side effects. Nausea, bodyaches, and chemo brain just to name a few. She is currently just trying to get through this god awful disease and its treatment. 

 After chemo is completed in October, Laurie will have the tumor removed. She will then start radiation. Once that is complete, she will finally have a double mastectomy.

 The funds that have already been donated so far have brought so much relief during an incredibly stressful time and allowed her to focus on her treatments. They have helped her pay her rent, utilities and just basic necessities for her and her son Jace to get through this trying time. You have no idea how much this means to Laurie, Jace and her family. THANK YOU!!
