Help a Trans Woman Avoid Homelessness

Hello! my name is Lyra, I'm a 23 year old trans woman in Boston attempting to stay housed for this year and beyond, and due to unforseen financial difficulties I need assistance in raising money to cover the broker's fees, the first month of rent, and the security deposit while managing my current expenses.

Unfortunately parental support is not an option in this circumstance, as my parents are not supportive of my identity. Being around my parents, or attempting to live with them is not a safe avenue to persue. If I cannot secure this apartment, I will become homeless.

What I Need:

THE LEASE IS SIGNED!!!!

The lease is signed and payment is now expected, unfortunately I'm not quite at my goal yet, at the time of writing this I am about $600 shy of reaching where I need to be, $600 would ensure I do not go into debt from this. Any amount helps, even small donations help close the gap.

This is now this fundraiser's only goal.

Any money earned beyond this goal will be either used to repay debt accrued through these expenses, or immediately placed in a savings account to be used for rent expenses only. I will not be using any money earned through this on personal expenses. This fundraiser is specifically for emergency rent related expenses to keep me housed, and absolutely no money involved will be used for anything outside of these parameters.

I should stress that I am NOT twiddling my thumbs hoping this money falls into my lap. I work full time in food service in the suburbs at the moment and have plans to transfer to a position in Boston that are in motion. I am putting my best efforts into achieving this goal, but require additional support to ensure that I stay safe and housed in the immediate future.
