A couple of weeks ago, my car's transmission went out and it is now at a mechanic to be repaired. The transmission needs to be replaced and I'm being quoted at a little under $6k.

My car is my lifeline; it's what I use to get to and from my two jobs, neither of which pay enough to have me even close to being able to afford the repairs. Without my car, I'm relying on my dad's vehicle to get to work, which I can only do for so long because he needs his car too. I need help and even just a little bit is astronomical for me.
