Help Jimmy Walk Again!
On January 30th, 2021, Jimmy was involved in a deadly car accident. The Firefighters and EMT took about an hour to safely remove him from the wreckage and was airlifted to the nearest Trauma center. He suffered a laundry list of injuries including multiple skull fractures, complete frostbite on his left hand, hearing loss, and multiple vertebrae fractures in his upper spinal cord.
This spinal cord injury has resulted in Jimmy being paralyzed in over 75% of his body. He is paralyzed from the waist down and his left arm is also paralyzed. Jimmy experienced cardiac arrest 5 times during his first week in ICU. This resulted in Jimmy needing an emergency pacemaker implanted in his heart to keep his heartbeat steady and stable. He suffered pneumonia from his extended time on a ventilator, which resulted in a tracheostomy operation.
Jimmy is a fighter. It’s been 33 days and Jimmy is still recovering in the ICU. He is showing great progress. We want to provide him with the best doctors and physical therapist to give him the opportunity to move his left arm and ultimately walk again. We also want to provide him with a handicap accessible home so he can be as comfortable as possible during his long term recovery
Jimmy is strong. He is now fully conscious. He is able to speak, regardless of his minimal brain damage. He thanks each and every one of you for your love and prayers. With your help, Jimmy can have the chance to be himself again.
We love you all! Whether it’s a donation or a prayer, we thank you and appreciate you for your help. God bless you all
