Andrew's recovery

A day on the slopes for this lovely kid turned into a catastrophe.

After his ski accident, Andrew suffered a level 5 spleen injury and a small puncture in his lung. After multiple procedures with Interventional Radiology, including a chest tube and measures to save his spleen, he is on the road to recovery. His hospital stay has lasted over a week so far and he has a long road ahead to fully recover, but celebrations start with small measures of success such as a lap or two around the unit. A lot of friends have been asking what they can do to help.

Life hands you unexpected situations that nobody is truly prepared for. We put this fundraiser together for those that want to help, those that have expressed a wish that they could do something to make things easier on Andrew and his family. The cost of healthcare is astronomical, and we felt this was a solid way to help with recovery for the Sawyer family. All donations will go towards medical bills.
