Help our family find a new home

Hello there family and friends.

Owing to the suggestions of several of our dear friends, we as a family have decided to start a GoFund to help us to raise a deposit for a mortgage so that we have a little more security and cannot be evicted from our home ever again

 

This is a heartfelt plea on behalf of my family and myself and we are appealing to you in hope of some help and support

 

A few weeks ago our family was given an eviction notice from our landlord Tanlaw Estates, Eskdalemuir. We are to leave our home here at the Crurie Cottage in less than six months time. We have spent the last 15 years building a beautiful home, garden and cabins and now must disassemble all we have built and try to find a new home in which to live. When we moved in it was just concrete and mud.

 

This is the reason why I am writing to you, together with my children Lisa and Vincent, I have decided that after almost 40 years of living in this valley, we must try to somehow stay locally to carry on supporting our valley friends. There are no houses to rent in the vicinity. Houses in our area are few and far between, so we must try to buy a property of our own somewhere nearby, a home base that we cannot lose due to the whim of an uncaring landlord after many years of work.

 

With this impending eviction coming out of the blue combined with the scale of all we have built and achieved here, we were quite unprepared for this situation. Any small contribution which friends can make would be wonderfully helpful.

 

Everyone whom we know appreciates our contribution towards the caring of all the people in need. We hope we can find somewhere nearby for sale so we can continue this work.

My family and I have never had any security in assets or land. With your help we may be able to change this. So I am asking if you can help where help is needed to raise a mortgage down payment for a home of our own.
