Update: George is seeing a back specialist on 1/4/24 and has not been released to work yet. They are waiting to see what happens with the specialist and if they can get him healing better/faster.

Hello, my little family has been through the ringer lately and we need a little help until we can get back on our feet again. We have worked for everything we have and would never ask if we weren't desperate. On 9/26/23 my husband George Schmidt was in a car accident. He was on I70 coming up on traffic and had stopped. The semi behind him did not see it in time and rammed into the back of him. Luckily it was not at full speed and it could have been much worse. But, this has caused back and leg pain as well as anxiety with driving, and all the other emotions that can go along with it. He had just bought the truck the week before and it is now totalled. The physical therapist has said it will be about 12 weeks till he can get back to work. There are more tests and appointments to come to see if that will change. We do have a lawyer who is helping us, but that all takes time too. On top of this, he lost his grandpa on 9/5/23 and so there is that going on as well. We just need help for a couple months until he can work again or a settlement happens. We would gladly pay anyone back if needed, you would just have to work with us on timeline and what the future holds. If you can not donate, we completely understand, just send us some good vibes .
