Hi, this is Roxy, the friendliest puppy ever! Roxy loves every person and dog she meets. Her best friend is a French Bulldog. She will sit waiting for strangers to walk miles up the road so she can cuddle them!
Roxy became my family at nearly 6 months old. The previous owner had her from 4 months, before that we do not know her history but think there may have been some mistreatment. She entered my life like a whirlwind and is more important to me than anyone, I love her with all my heart and soul. So I am swallowing my pride and begging for help.
In April, Roxy developed Pyometra, an infection in the uterus. This is life-threatening and caused her a lot of pain. I rushed her to the vets to begin a course of injections to flush the infection out. Thankfully she recovered quickly. The vets advice was to get her spayed to prevent it from reoccurring, which was planned for July, in-between her seasons. However, 2 weeks ago Roxy came into season, which is very unusual so early. She has now developed pyometra again. I woke this morning to find her lying in a large pool of blood, in a lot of pain with stomach convulses. Heartbreaking! Rushed to the vets for the injections, antibiotics, anti-sickness meds. Last time she had to have 4 lots of injections, each costing around £360 plus appointment fees. Each round consists of 3 injections into the neck as she is a giant breed, Dogue De Bordeaux.
When leaving the vets today she took a decline and could not walk to the car. The vet had to help carry her back in and admit her. She is currently in there on a drip, constantly leaking blood and suffering. I had to borrow the money last time and had to borrow again today, which so far has cost £500. Admitting her will be another £500 approx plus the injections tomorrow and next week, each visit costing £350-£400. I am desperate for help, the vets do not do payment plans. If you are in a position to help Roxy, we would be so very grateful. She is the most beautiful soul. Thank you for any donations, from the bottom of my heart!
