Hello! My name is Miranda and I started this GoFundMe for my amazing mother (Cindy Knaffla). Last spring, she went in for a physical; her best friend insisted on it (thank you, Patty). And thankfully, she did. They found a small tumor around her ventricle on her lung. They started chemo and radiation right away, and it disappeared. But unfortunately, a few months later, they found 2 lesions had developed on both sides of her brain. After another round of chemo and radiation, thankfully, they were able to get rid of them. She was doing well for the rest of the year until late December. Again, unfortunately, they found another mass in her lower stomach area. She has been doing chemo and radiation since January of this year for that mass. They initially diagnosed her with stage 1 lung cancer, but now it is closer to stage 2. Through all of this mess, my mother has remained strong with a smile on her face. She is my best friend and I wanted to be able to help in some way.

Just 2 days ago, she hit a deer and her car was unusable. She still has a truck she can use to get to appointments, but it is a lot more costly to drive the truck vs. her car. I want to do everything I possibly can to make sure she makes it to her appointments and stays healthy. My mom would go out of her way to help anyone, and I just want to do the same for her. Any funds raised from this will be used to help with bills, travel costs, food, and possibly parts for her car.
