Hi everyone, my name is John I’m 19, living in Edinburgh, and right now I’m facing the toughest 13 days of my life.

Due to a sudden change in my circumstances and employment, I am being evicted from my current flat in less than two weeks. I currently have -£500 in my bank account and zero family support to fall back on. In 13 days, my partner and I will be forced to move into my car or a shelter. Every penny raised will go toward keeping ourselves alive with things like food and fuel whilst we fight to get back on our feet.

I am a hard worker with a background in labouring, and I am doing everything I can—applying for emergency grants, looking for immediate-start shifts, and reaching out to housing charities. But the reality is that the 'system' moves slowly, and my move-out date is moving fast.
