Humphrey Munson Fundraiser for PARC Essex
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to click through and learn more about our fundraiser; it is much appreciated. We receive many messages everyday from people seeking advice and guidance on kitchen design from self-builds, to renovations/ extensions of homes on a budget. As a busy design company it's impossible for us to give advice on this basis, but we came up with the idea to give away a kitchen design service to raise money for a small local charity that is very close to our hearts.
We are raising money for PARC (Essex) which is a registered children's charity based in the beautiful setting of Great Notley Country Park, near Braintree in Essex. In order to do this we have organised a kitchen design service giveaway which would be ideal for anyone seeking advice / ideas on how to best design a kitchen. Please see further notes below on this Kitchen Design Service giveaway:
KITCHEN DESIGN SERVICE:
1. Design consultation meeting - this will take place via Zoom and is intended to gather information about the project, how you want the kitchen to work and function, preferred appliances and accessories etc. We are happy to provide advice and answer any design related questions during this session. In order to undertake the consultation we will need a plan drawing with dimensions and ceiling height, window and door placement and anything that would impede the placement of furniture. Duration: 1.5 hrs.
2. Design presentation meeting - this will take place via Zoom. Louisa Eggleston, Creative Director at H|M and a Designer, will present our proposal of how best to use the space. We will review the kitchen design plan with you and go through our recommended appliances / accessories as well as all the inside tips we use to create our H|M projects. We will supply the full dwg / pdf files to you via email. Please note we will keep the design as modular as possible to ensure that it can be adapted by a manufacturer as required. Duration: 1.5 hrs.
3. Design details pack - we will supply a design details pack (electronic) PDF which will contain the kitchen design plan, suggested worktops (style / finish etc), appliances (ovens / fridges) accessories (sinks / taps), together with a proposed design mood board including hardware design / finish, paint colours, flooring, wall colour, architectural joinery finish and style, accent lighting (i.e. pendants, wall lights, not a full lighting plan), electric sockets etc.
Please note this is for a kitchen design service only - the supply of cabinetry, worktops, hardware, appliances or accessories is not included in this giveaway.
To enter this giveaway please kindly donate a minimum of £20 to PARC (Essex) and your name will be entered in a prize draw that will be shown LIVE on the Humphrey Munson instagram filmed at HMHQ on 4th August at 4pm BST.
- This giveaway is open to anyone worldwide.
- Only 1 winner.
- Multiple entries allowed (min. £20 donation per entry).
- No cash alternative.
- Time limit for kitchen design service to be used - 6 months.
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PARC (ESSEX):
PARC (Essex) provide play and recreation facilities for children with additional needs and short break care for their families and carers. Every child has a right to play, regardless of their individual needs or abilities. Above all PARC is a place where children can develop, learn and have fun, in a safe and friendly environment. PARC currently help support over 500 families within the Essex area and this includes one of our employees whose son has a rare undiagnosed genetic condition and complex medical needs.
As a registered charity, PARC largely rely on the support and fundraising efforts of the local community and the kind and generous donations that they receive from individuals and businesses alike. All the PARC services are provided at a greatly subsidised rate for children, young people and their families and their running costs increase every year as they care for a growing number of children and their families.
It costs around £24 per hour for every child to attend one of our Activity Clubs or Play Sessions. Parents usually only pay around £4 of this cost. The remaining £20 is funded through grants or donations from generous fundraisers. The cost of running the PARC specialist services increases each year as they care for an ever growing number of children and their families. This year alone our service has grown by 50%
Since the Government Spending Review, PARC have lost some of their statutory funding, that’s why they really need the help and generosity of the local community more than ever. The reality of this is that they need to raise nearly £2,000 each and every day to continue to run our vital services. This is why we are hoping to raise £2,000 for this amazing charity with this fundraiser.
Last year PARC provided almost 30,000 service hours to children with additional needs and support for their families. This has made a huge difference to those families who are able to make really meaningful, positive changes to their daily lives with children struggling with additional needs. It's an amazing charity that makes such a difference to so many people's lives. PARC was set up in 1995 by a group of parents of disabled children in response to a lack of local play opportunities and respite care. Many disabled children are denied access to mainstream play opportunities due to physical, social and cognitive barriers and there are waiting lists and stringent criteria to access help from statutory services. THANK YOU so much for reading, and for any donation you make - it really is so appreciated. Good luck!
Best wishes,
