Help me publish a book

Friends, Strangers, and Fellow Humans,
I am trying to raise at least a thousand dollars to hire a seasoned and veteran editor to help me get my stories into shape and then submit them to publishers.
It has been a very difficult and dark time the past few months. I have been battling through a crisis and am starting to pull out of it. Even though the last few months have very trying, I managed to write two novels.
The first book is called "The Green River Neighbor." In the Seattle suburbs during the summer of 1988, a group of twelve-year-olds are absolutely certain their neighbor is the Green River Killer. One hundred percent positive. So they conduct an investigation. Complete with King County Detectives, strippers, conniving convenience store clerks, Jolt Cola-fueled surveillance, walkie-talkies, stolen fireworks, and cloak and dagger hijinks.
Every serial killer lives next door to someone. Someone loaned Ted Bundy a cup of sugar. Someone asked John Wayne Gacy to grab their mail when they were in Disney World for the week. Suburbia keeps secrets. Sometimes you have to look hard to find them. And rarely are the secrets what they are believed to be.
The second book is called "Foo Fighters Over the Solomon Islands." During WWII, in the battles in the South Pacific, pilots on both side of the conflict reported stange lights in the sky. The lights would follow the Hellcats and Zeroes. What if the lights, the foo fighters, weren't just a benevolent anomaly. What if the lights took American pilots? Some return, some don't. And a group of ace pilots must find a way to fight an enemy more dangerous those that wear a swastka or rising sun.
