De esa manera suya de leer la pista, de meter el tema justo en el momento justo, de subir la energía de una sala entera solo con una sonrisa desde la cabina. De la pasión que le pone a cada show y del cariño con el que trata a su gente desde el primer día. Beatriz Martínez lleva años regalándonos noches que no se olvidan.

Enero de 2026.

Bea grabó un vídeo desde una cama de hospital y contó lo que estaba pasando. Le habían encontrado un tumor en la médula y el diagnóstico era un linfoma muy agresivo. De un día para otro, se acabaron las actuaciones, los vuelos, las cabinas. Todo.

Lo que vino después fueron cuatro ciclos de quimioterapia muy agresiva. Nueve meses que le pasaron factura al cuerpo entero, con efectos secundarios inesperados en la cadera, y que peleó con la misma fuerza con la que se sube a un escenario, pero desde un sitio mucho más silencioso, sin público y sin luces.

Y aun así, no dejó de hacer música.

En pleno tratamiento nació su proyecto más personal, "VIDA", con canciones que iban contando lo que estaba viviendo: "Glow Up", "Side Effects", "Stronger" y "Univers". Con su hermana gemela Elena hizo "Resistiré", una canción sobre aguantar cuando ya no queda de dónde sacar. No lo hizo por trabajo. Lo hizo porque era la única manera que conocía de seguir siendo ella.

La promesa.

Desde esa misma cama de hospital, Bea se puso una meta que sonaba imposible: ganarle a la enfermedad y pinchar en el Mainstage de Tomorrowland el 19 de julio de 2026, tal y como estaba previsto.

Pocos días antes del festival, sus médicos le dijeron que estaba libre de cáncer.

Y cumplió. El 19 de julio salió al Mainstage de Tomorrowland en silla de ruedas, delante de miles de personas. Y en mitad de su sesión se levantó.

Ese es el momento que dio la vuelta al mundo. Lo que vino después no lo vio nadie.

Cuando se apagaron las luces y se acabaron los aplausos, Bea volvió al hospital para la última parte: el trasplante de médula. Ahí empezó lo que no sale en los vídeos, lo que no tiene fecha marcada en el calendario ni cartel con su nombre.

Estar libre de cáncer no significa estar recuperada. Significa que ahora empieza la reconstrucción, y va para muchos meses.

A Bea todavía le queda una operación de cadera, una prótesis, para poder volver a andar. Ahora mismo no puede hacerlo: el dolor en la cadera y en la pierna es insoportable, sigue muy medicada para poder sobrellevarlo y se mueve en silla de ruedas, con una movilidad muy reducida.

Bea lleva desde enero sin poder trabajar ni generar ingresos, y llegar a ese día en Tomorrowland le costó agotar todos sus ahorros y reservas, que todavía tiene que reponer.

¿Para qué son los fondos?

Cada aportación va directamente a que Bea pueda centrarse en ponerse bien, y en nada más:

Su familia va a estar a su lado durante todo el proceso, y habrá momentos en los que tendrán que dejar temporalmente sus trabajos para poder cuidarla. Esta campaña también es para que ellos puedan hacerlo sin que todo se venga abajo.

Bea prometió que se levantaría en ese escenario y lo hizo. Ahora nos toca a nosotros ayudarla a mantenerse en pie el resto del camino.

The passion she puts into every show, and the warmth she gives her people from day one. Beatriz Martínez has spent years giving us nights nobody forgets.

January 2026.

Bea recorded a video from a hospital bed and told everyone what was happening. They had found a tumour in her spinal cord, and the diagnosis was a very aggressive lymphoma. Overnight, the shows were over. The flights, the booths. Everything.

What came next was four rounds of brutal chemotherapy. Nine months that took a toll on her entire body, with unexpected side effects in her hip, and that she fought with the same force she brings to a stage, only from a much quieter place, with no crowd and no lights.

And even then, she never stopped making music.

In the middle of treatment came her most personal project, "VIDA", with songs that told the story as she was living it: "Glow Up", "Side Effects", "Stronger" and "Univers". With her twin sister Elena she made "Resistiré", a song about holding on when there's nothing left to hold on with. She didn't do it for work. She did it because it was the only way she knew to stay herself.

The promise.

From that same hospital bed, Bea set herself a goal that sounded impossible: beat the illness and play the Tomorrowland Mainstage on 19 July 2026, exactly as it had been booked.

A few days before the festival, her doctors told her she was cancer free.

And she did it. On 19 July she came out onto the Tomorrowland Mainstage in a wheelchair, in front of thousands of people. And halfway through her set, she stood up.

That's the moment that travelled around the world. What came after, nobody saw.

When the lights went down and the applause ended, Bea went back to hospital for the last part: the bone marrow transplant. That's where the part with no videos began, the part with no date circled on a calendar and no poster with her name on it.

Being cancer free doesn't mean being recovered. It means the rebuilding starts now, and it will take many months.

Bea still needs hip surgery, a prosthesis, before she can walk again. Right now she can't: the pain in her hip and leg is unbearable, she's still heavily medicated to cope with it, and she gets around in a wheelchair with very limited mobility.

Bea hasn't been able to work or earn since January, and getting to that day at Tomorrowland cost her every last bit of her savings, which she still has to rebuild.
