We are raising money for another surgery for our 5-month-old Husky puppy. He has a congenital deformity that has greatly affected the use of his front limbs. Last month, we took him in for an aggressive surgery where the surgeon removed parts of the bones from both his front limbs. We were hoping that was the only surgery he would need, but the follow-up x-rays have discovered a new problem.
His feet/paws are now growing in at an angle. From what I understand (doctor does a better job at this explanation) a part of his growth plate has fused but the other part remains open. Meaning that a part of his bone has stopped growing but the other part continues to grow causing them to grow at an angle.
We were provided with three different options, all of which require surgery. No matter which route we choose it is estimated to cost about $8,000. This cost does not include follow up visits, which he will require for at least three months following the surgery. We want this surgery for him so he can have a better quality of life. The sooner he can have the surgery the better. Any help you can provide to help offset the cost of this additional surgery will be greatly appreciated.
We brought Azul into our home when he was 7 weeks old and we quickly fell in love. He is such a playful and friendly pup. He never seemed to care when we would go to the vet for his shots, because he was too excited to meet new people to care. He is still energetic and loving but he is currently confined to his crate for recovery from his past surgery. We are willing to do what it takes so that he may finally leave his crate and go back outside to see his friends (everyone he meets.)
