Hi, my name is Azuh… and this is the story of how I’m still here thanks to love, hope, and a little bit of courage.
I’m normally a sweet, wiggly pup with a tail that never stops wagging or, well… it usually doesn’t. But on September 16th, something scary happened.
I had been throwing up for three whole days. My tummy hurt, and I didn’t want to eat not even my favorite treats. My energy started to fade. I didn’t want to play. I didn’t even want cuddles. My parents knew something was wrong, and they rushed me to the emergency vet.
That night, I had lots of tests and scans. The doctors poked and prodded and looked at all kinds of things inside me… but nothing looked obviously wrong. So I went home, and we waited.
But the next morning, I was worse.
My parents they were so scared. I could see it in their eyes. But they didn’t give up on me. They took me back to the vet, and this time… the word "surgery" came up. The doctors suspected an obstruction. The only way to know for sure and save me was to operate.
My parents didn’t hesitate. They said, “Do it. Save him.”
And I’m so, so glad they did.
I had a surgery called an Exploratory Laparotomy. It was a big deal. I had to stay in the hospital for two days, surrounded by machines and beeping noises and kind people who checked on me while my parents waited at home, hoping for the best.
It was hard. But I made it. I survived.
Now I’m healing. I’m eating again. My tail is wagging again. And my eyes are bright again. I’m still here because my parents fought for me, even when it was scary even when the costs added up to more than they could imagine.
But now, they need help.
Here’s what they owe:
* Emergency Room Visit: **$2,117.26**
* Life-saving Surgery: **$4,687.59**
* Hospitalisation (2 days)
*Medications
*food and supplies
**$1,896.84**
Total: $8,701.69
They never thought they’d be facing this but they’d do it all again to save me. That’s the kind of love we have. ❤️
So, I’m here, telling my story not just because I survived, but because we believe in the kindness of others. If you’re an animal lover, if you’ve ever had a furry friend look at you with those “please don’t give up on me” eyes… then you know.
Every little bit helps.
Whether it’s a donation, a share, or a kind word you’re part of my journey now, too.
Thank you for helping me get back to belly rubs, sunny naps, and chasing dreams.
Thank you for giving me back my life.
With love and a gentle tail wag,
Azuh
