My name is Aziza. I am a Sudanese medical student entering my fifth year of university. Just two years away from becoming a doctor — a dream I’ve fought for my entire life.
When the war broke out in Sudan, everything I knew was shattered. Our home was destroyed, my family torn apart. My father passed away just two months before the war began. Now, my family is scattered across different countries, each of us struggling to survive. One of my brothers remains trapped in Sudan, unable to escape the horrors unfolding there.
I escaped on a journey that was nothing short of a nightmare. I was packed inside a box truck with others, crossing endless deserts with no food or water. The scorching heat during the day and freezing cold at night tested every part of me. It was a journey between life and death — every moment filled with fear and hope.
Finally, I reached Egypt with nothing but a dream—to finish my education and build a future.
Now, that dream is at risk. I urgently need $6,000 to pay for my fifth-year tuition fees, housing, and living expenses.
My sister is also studying at university and needs money for her tuition. My family and I are struggling to cover these costs, and I’m trying my best to support both of us.
Without this money, I will lose my place in medical school. After all the hardship, all the nights spent studying with tears in my eyes, I can’t give up now.
Please help me keep my dream alive. Any amount, no matter how small, brings me closer to the future I’ve fought so hard for. If you cannot donate, sharing my story might reach someone who can.
Your support means everything to me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
