Donation protected
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my grandmother, Laura, was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. We were told she probably wouldn't live more than a year past her diagnosis.
At the time of this writing, in October of 2023, she is still alive, but cancer treatment in the United States is, unfortunately, expensive, and she and my grandfather, Leo, are struggling to cover the costs of missed work, transportation to appointments, and the costs of her medication.
The doctors are telling her (and by extension, us) that her cancer is terminal, and that the best she can hope for is prolonged life and comfortable circumstances in the meantime.
She is not giving up, and neither are we. So we are here asking for donations in the hopes that she can continue to take her medications and perhaps beat the odds entirely; even if not, we'd like to have her here a little longer, at least.
Any help is very much appreciated!
