Our family is not one to do this, but at this point in time, it seems we have no choice.
My mom fell ill back in June 2018. She has been diagnosed with lupus (about 9 years ago), and smoldering myeloma. She had Bacterial meningitis, which has cause spinal cord damage, memory loss, and the loss of her legs. She is unable to ever walk again, wheelchair bound and bed ridden. She can’t perform her own self care, and has a permanent feeding tube, as she is unable to hold anything down. She has always worked two jobs and raised two kids on her own. Now, she’s at a loss. She will never be able to work again, and is getting minimal income from her long term disability She is unable to receive Medicare to assist with any hospital bills, and her money is dwindling to maintain her household. I live with my mom to assist with her care, along with my children. I work a full time job, care for her, and my children. The holidays are coming up and my mom is struggling and eventually will lose everything without any assistance. My mom has given her last cent to anyone and everyone that she cares about. She’s spent her life giving so much, but that she’s losing now. Any thing would help. All donations will go to her household bills and medical expenses. This is all for her and her home. Again, we don’t like having to do this, but we’ve run out of options.
