Azalea's Memorial Fund

Hello friends,

This Go Fund Me page is made by friends  to help with the unexpected expenses following the loss of our dearest daugheter, Azalea. We apprecaite any assistance you can offer to help us plan a memorial service for her.  Costs for the hospital testing and cremation are more than we had set aside, and we would love to provide a memorial for our angel. Below is the story of how we lost our daughter.

Azalea Vicenta Faz was born at 12:17pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was19 1/2" long and weighed 6 pounds. Her body was born but her spirit had already left us. My daughter was thriving and healthy. She was a fierce little ball of joy living inside me. She was fine one day, and within 24 hours she was not. It happened so fast, and there were just two weeks to go.

My plan for the weekend was to take 38 week pictures. Instead, I checked into the hospital Thursday night. It was an induced labor, and it was heroic. Emotionally it was hard because I already knew she had passed. Though through sheer determination and incredible support of the team, I was able to welcome my daughter into the world. The midwife, Olivia, Nurse Dana, my cherished friend, Jackie, my mom, and Nathan were all there pulling for me, holding my hand. They were helping me know I could get through it, even though I knew the end result wasn't turning out as planned. We were hoping for a miracle.

I just loved her so much I knew I would do anything for her. It was painful, but endearing because I got to hold her. She was laid on my belly when she was born.
Absolute love for this cherished angel got us through the hardest time in our lives. I couldn't have asked for a better support team.

As we attempt to move forward in grief, I am appreciative of the heartfelt outpouring of support from our community. I don't think it would be possible to be overwhelmed when so much love is there to cradle me. We plan to have a memorial celebration of her life toward the end of May. I will share details of that with you when some more arrangements have been solidified. In the meantime, I would cherish visits from individuals.

Already some people have reached out to me by sharing their connections to what I am going through and with advice that can facilitate my healing process as we seek council. All of this kind of help is appreciated. Any resources people have for getting us through this time of grief are welcome.

Tears are being shed right now. But water has healing properties. I am so grateful to the sea of my community, helping to keep me buoyant right now. Thank you.
