Azalea is a silly music loving 17 month old. Azaleas parents started this journey with a couple of trips to the Emergency room due to episodes of non specific vomiting and received the most devastating news that not a single parent is ever prepared for.
On the 14th of September Azalea was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumor (craniopharyngioma). Five surgeries later, and daily continuous struggles over the last two months, she is still fighting. Azalea’s tumor is relentless and now her vision is at stake. She has reached a standstill at her current hospital and now needs to travel across the country to receive specialized care. Her parents have been out of work to be by her side as well as continuing to care for their second child. Each donation made will continue Azalea’s fight by funding the travel and stay in another state, at a more specialized hospital, away from family and her home to provide the best care possible and bring her back home.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is our original story above. Azalea has been home about a year and attends regular therapy sessions trying to make her more mentally and physically aware. We struggle contently with costs of medications, insurances, assisted mobility devices, and now a regrowth. We flew her back to Boston where the rest of the tumor cells that where found on a scan have been removed! Everyday has been a struggle and any help is greatly appreciated.
