Help Me On My Healing Journey
Donation protected
Howdy, friends and fam! As some of you know, I was in a bad car accident a little over a month ago that banged me up real good. I was rushed to the hospital and spent a couple days in trauma ICU with internal injuries, a severe concussion, a mangled right hand, and quite a few other issues. As most of my body began to slowly heal up, my severely mangled right hand began to hurt to the point where I was in so much pain that I couldn't sleep. I returned to the ER and was informed that my hand had gotten dangerously infected, and I was in need of emergency surgery to prevent me from losing my index finger and the infection from spreading.
Now, four weeks out from surgery, my finger is finally starting to heal but will require a considerable amount of physical therapy and work over the next year to get it to function properly again. Currently, my finger is as stiff as a board and with all my might will not bend or move, severely limiting what I can do with my right hand. For someone who has worked with his hands building his entire life this has been a pretty heart breaking and challenging time both physically and mentally.
I have been out of work for a little over a month now, and the medical bills are stacking up. With a considerable amount of help, I hope to begin to get back to my shop in the next couple of months and finish the project that I already had going before my accident. However, after that, I am unsure of what the future holds. I have thought about this heavily for a couple weeks, and although it pains me to admit to myself and others: I need help. Anyone who knows me knows that it is not easy for me to publicly ask for help, and I have long prided myself on self-reliance. This time, though, I can't do it on my own.
I'm asking for support that will 100% directly support my recovery and journey to getting back to fully functioning. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support whether it be financial, prayer, check-ins, music/movie suggestions, or good jokes. Love you all.
