We found Teddy wandering the streets alone… neglected, abandoned, and in pain.

No collar.

No identification.

No owner searching for him.

Just a helpless little senior dog left to fend for himself in heartbreaking condition.

We named him Teddy because under all the filth and suffering is a tiny teddy bear who wants nothing more than to be loved.

Teddy is an elderly poodle mix who has clearly endured severe long-term neglect and abandonment. His condition is devastating, and he needs immediate veterinary attention if he is going to have a chance at the life he deserves.

Teddy is currently suffering from:

• Severe infections in both eyes

• Dry Eye Syndrome requiring urgent treatment

• Painful infections in both ears with heavy bacterial residue and outside buildup

• Extremely poor hygiene and neglected skin/coat condition

• Malnourishment

• Advanced periodontal disease requiring extensive dental surgery, multiple extractions, and gum treatment

• He has never been neutered despite his age

• Possible respiratory infection, requiring tests and isolation from our other pets

This sweet boy has clearly been ignored medically for a very long time.

And yet… despite all he has been through…

Teddy is gentle.

Teddy is loving.

Teddy is potty trained.

Teddy does not bark much.

He is scared, confused, and clearly heartbroken — but he still reaches out for affection.

He was not aggressive with us.

He was not afraid of our dogs.

He simply wanted to be near people and be comforted.

You can tell Teddy once knew what love felt like… and then someone abandoned him.

That is what makes this even more heartbreaking.

We are doing everything we can to help him, but the reality is that the veterinary costs ahead are substantial and include:

Full medical testing

Eye medications and treatment

Ear infection treatment

Respiratory evaluation

Nutritional rehabilitation

Extensive periodontal/dental surgery

Multiple tooth extractions

Gum surgery

Neutering

Continued follow-up care

As many of you know, these treatments and surgeries can be extremely expensive, especially for a senior rescue dog requiring immediate care.

With three other dogs already in our household, we simply cannot cover all of Teddy’s urgent medical expenses alone.
