Cory's recovery fund

During the first week of January, Cory suffered a bowel blockage that required immediate emergency medical care. This is not the first time he's dealt with this, having been hospitalized for it before. This particular episode was likely brought on by complications arising from excessive scar tissue in his abdomen from the previous blockage, as well as the repeated trauma to the midsection common in muay thai and MMA training.

As of February 1st, Cory is still in the hospital. Unfortunately, after recovering from a blood infection, he still has to remain hospitalized due to an ileus and a fistula. His body is in a weakened state from being on an extremely restricted diet and for such a prolonged hospitalization period.

So here's where we need your help. Cory moved down here to help open a new MMA facility in Holly Springs. He took a chance to follow his dream like a true entrepreneur, and like many people who start a business or move for work he doesn't currently have health insurance. Needless to say a month in the hospital, procedural costs, and other medications is going to be extremely expensive. On top of that, Cory is in a weakened state and will take weeks to get back to normal and resume coaching and meet the demands of full time MMA coaching.

We're asking for any amount of help to cover these medical bills, or even just enough to cover food and other life necessities while Cory is recovering after discharge from the hospital. Cory works nonstop, he loves what he does, and loves who he does it with. He never asks anyone for anything, and will probably be upset that we even made this fundraiser. But that's why we did this- because he would never ask us to.
