AZ House Jerusalem
HELP US SAVE LIVES

Addiction and Drug Abuse is still very much alive and affecting more and more Jewish families; many of them right in your own community. It is a sad fact of life that in modern times the pressures, demands and lack of understanding spreads the reach and depth of this deadly disease on an increasing basis.
Thank G-d there is help. The AZ House is doing its part to shine a light of hope. Established in 2016, the AZ House has been transforming the lives of those afflicted with addiction, offering much needed education, support and direction in a stable and nurturing therapeutic community. Located in Jerusalem, the AZ House is not at all for profit, fully self-supporting and does not let ability-to-pay play any role in the admissions process. Our mission statement is simple: Do the most possible good for the most amount of people.
As you know, when it is darkest, even one candle can inspire hope. I am asking you to light that candle. The power of shining pure light on a problem is unparalleled. We need your help to dispel the darkness that is literally taking the lives of those that could be saved. In turn, your contribution can light another candle and another that will ripple further than we can imagine. Saving lives is not just a slogan for a bumper sticker; It is a mantra that guides and drives those that are committed to its pursuit.
Please consider partnering with us in this cause. I know that you may get requests for funds frequently, but this is one that will drive the bottom line of having more Jews alive next year to celebrate in victory in this war. It is war, but one that we can win. Please contact me to inquire about how you can help. All donations are tax-deductible and our organization is registered as a not for profit. Make a meaningful contribution this year. One that will change the world, one light at a time.
With Sincere Respect & Gratitude

We at the AZ House, the only FREE residential therapeutic community for drugs and alcohol in Israel, are excited to celebrate our second anniversary. We are grateful to be able to have such an amazing impact on the lives of the residents and their families and to witness the miracle of recovery every day.
Our mission to provide our services at no cost depends on the love and financial support of the community. As we begin the new year, we hope you will join us and be the blessing that someone so desperately needs to begin a happy, joyous, drug and alcohol-free life.
More About AZ House
AZ House is a residential therapeutic treatment center for drugs and alcohol in Jerusalem, Israel. Our 12-Steps based treatment program offers residents the chance to learn how to live in a community, develop self-discipline and become respectful contributors of society, with complete freedom and independence from alcohol and drug addiction. Since 2016, AZ House is the only FREE shomer shabbat and kosher rehab in the world. AZ House offers observant Jews the opportunity to focus on their recovery, whilst maintaining their religious practice. Many residents may not be observant and we are sensitive to this: secular, religious, non-Jewish – all are welcome. Named after Avroham Ze’ev Olive, a young man who sadly lost the battle to drug addiction and alcoholism, the AZ House aims to provide a much needed service, which has been proven successful time and time again. The house has a capacity of 15 young men and exists solely on private donations.
No demographic has been exempt from the opiate epidemic. Shortly after moving to Israel in 2016, Eric Levitz recognized the need for a treatment center modeled after the Lia House in Cleveland, OH, where he himself found recovery. The AZ House in Jerusalem is open to all regardless of ethnicity or background and is completely free of charge. Addicts can place untold burdens on their families with significant financial costs and emotional pressures, especially when after spending time in a costly rehabilitation facility, they are released without skills or support.
The AZ House program fills this void by bridging the gap between active addiction and return to society. By incorporating the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous in conjunction with a strictly imposed routine, initial residency consists of house maintenance, cooking, and participation in groups. In the second stage of the program, residents must seek employment while continuing to live in the House where they receive continued support and mentor those in initial residency. Our ground-up mission has made our program a place for individuals to find community.
While the demand for treatment is at an all-time high, so are the costs of services, making treatment inaccessible to many. This is where the AZ house comes in. We are a completely FREE facility. Our only purpose is to serve the resident and his well-being without any other motive attached.
AZ House is seeking funds to expand its center and to open a women’s treatment center in 2019. We are a nonprofit organization (501(c)3) and rely entirely on donations.
Please, join with the AZ HOUSE now and help us Save More Lives!
