So for all of you that know me and follow me on social media you know of this special girl in my life, Ayverie. You’ve all been following her journey with my posts and pictures and im sure you know how much love i have for not only her but her mama as well. Some of you know her story, some maybe dont. So i want to share a short version of it with you:
I first met Ayverie when she was in JK in a private daycare in Oakville. I was her kindergarten teacher for those two years. In those 2 years this little girl stole my heart. She was a loving yet veryyy sassy little girl with a big fro that would light up any room she walked into. She made me laugh when all i wanted to do was cry during some really hard times i was going through , and she truly made my pregnancy that much more special.
Well i went off on my matt leave and she started school. Then one horrible day i find out that Ayverie had been rushed by ambulance to McMaster Children’s Hospital, and into the PICU. Ayverie had brain surgery the next day in an attempt to remove the tumour, for the best chance of survival. Ayverie was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (brain cancer), one day after her 8th birthday on February 7, 2013.
After undergoing chemo, radiation, surgeries, treatments and countless hospital tests and stays, cancer came back now for the third time.
In May of last year they gave her hours to live, but she continued fighting like the warrior queen that she is. She has had countless seizures and is unable to eat, drink, talk or walk. And just recently her mom had to make a decision that no mom should ever have to make for her child.
Ayverie is now at home where she is most comfortable...
My beautiful, sassy girl has been robbed of her childhood. I always would tell her that she would change the world. And she has, she truly has. Especially mine. She has changed my world and blessed me in ways i can never be able to describe into words.
And she has THE STRONGEST mom i have ever met. A single mom who spent what should have been the happiest years of her life, fighting for her daughters life.
With that being said, its my 30th Birthday on Wednesday. And being as in those 30 years, 2 of the most influencal people in my life are going through the hardest time of their life i feel i NEED to help. And at this moment, this is the only way i know how to. So please donate if you can and share this page! It wont ease the pain this family is going through, but it will help in some way.
Thank you in advance and god bless you all!
Ayverie, I love you my sassy girl. Forever and always! ♥️
Valerie, You are the definiton of strength and love. I am here whenever, wherever. I love you ♥️
