Ayudemos para que Enmita regrese a casa

Hola, mi nombre es Enma Aguilar Villagómez, de la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador, mi familia y amigos me conocen como “Suquita” o “Huma”, tengo 30 años. Soy una joven muy alegre y extrovertida.

La tarde del pasado 12 de Febrero, salí al gimnasio para hacer mi rutina de ejercicio. Un poco antes de terminarla, sentí un fuerte dolor en mi cabeza, por lo que decidí regresar pronto a casa. Al llegar, le pedí a mi mami que me dé algo, pero sentía que a cada momento el dolor se hacía más intenso. Al punto que le pedí casi a gritos me llevara al hospital cuanto antes.

Me llevaron de urgencia al área de Emergencias del Hospital. Y después de muchos exámenes los doctores llegaron a la conclusión que una arteria en mi cabeza se había reventado y estaba inundando mi cerebro de sangre. Sufrí una Accidente Cerebro Vascular (ACV). Por lo que inmediatamente me sedaron, entubaron y programaron una cirugía urgente para limpiar la sangre en mi cerebro.

Desde entonces estoy en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI), en un coma inducido mientras mi cerebro se estabiliza. Los doctores recomiendan no moverme mientras esto sucede, y pronostican que necesitaré quedarme por lo menos un mes en UCI. Para luego proceder con una nueva intervención para evitar que este evento vuelva a ocurrir.

Entre la cirugía, los procedimientos, los exámenes y mi estadía en UCI. Los costos del hospital ya sobrepasaron la cobertura de mi seguro médico.

Necesito de tu ayuda para cubrir estos costos y poder permanecer en UCI el tiempo necesario mientras mi cerebro se estabiliza. Como también los costos de las nuevas intervenciones y terapias que necesitaré luego para recuperar las funciones afectadas.

Mi mami y mi familia están buscando maneras de cubrir estos costos, pero como saben, estos se incrementan día a día mientras siga en el hospital.

Hello, my name is Enma Aguilar Villagómez, from Quito, Ecuador. My family and friends call me “Sukita” or “Huma.” I am 30 years old. I am a very happy and outgoing young woman.

The last February 12nd, I went to the gym to do my exercise routine. A little before finishing it, I felt a strong pain in my head, so I decided to return home soon. When I arrived, I asked my mom to give me something, but I felt that the pain was getting more intense with each moment. I almost screamed for her to carry me to the hospital as soon as possible.

They rushed me to the Emergency area of the Hospital. And after many tests, the doctors came to the conclusion that an artery in my head had burst and was flooding my brain with blood. I suffered a Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA). So they immediately sedated me, intubated me, and scheduled an urgent surgery to clean the blood in my brain.

Since then, I have been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in an induced coma while my brain stabilizes. The doctors recommend that I not move while this happens, and predict that I will need to stay at least a month in the ICU. Then, they will proceed with a new intervention to prevent this event from happening again.

Between the surgery, the procedures, the medical tests, and my stay in the ICU, the hospital costs have already exceeded the coverage of my medical insurance.

I need your help to cover these costs so that I can stay in the ICU for the necessary time while my brain stabilizes. As well as the costs of the new interventions and therapies that I will need later to recover the affected functions.

My mom and my family are looking for ways to cover these costs, but as you know, these increase day by day while I remain in the hospital.
