Hola, me llamo Elysmar, estoy recaudando fondos para Mi hermana Yulenny Bencomo, de 34 años de edad. Posee un tumor benigno invasivo de rápido crecimiento que esta consumiendo sus huesos maxilofaciales a un ritmo escalado. Acabando con sus dientes, cambiando drásticamente su sonrisa y nariz. Y por supuesto, causándole dolor y dificultad para masticar.

En octubre del 2020, Yulenny, empezó a sentir en el paladar una pequeña y dura masa. Era de aproximadamente 2 cm, le causaba molestias más no le dolía.

Al tiempo, acudió al médico y, a través de una biopsia, le diagnostican un “Granuloma de Células Gigantes”, un tumor benigno de carácter agresivo y crecimiento acelerado. 

En enero del 2021, le realizaron un curetaje donde aparentemente habían logrado eliminar la lesión y con ello una segunda biopsia donde se corroboraba el diagnóstico inicial.

En Mayo del 2021, cuando se empezó a sanar el paladar, empezó a sentir mucho dolor y sensibilidad en el incisivo superior central (pieza 2. 1) , le hicieron un tratamiento de conducto y 3 meses después, en ese mismo diente, comenzó a padecer de fuerte dolor, sensibilidad y movilidad. A su vez, regresó el dolor en el paladar y nuevamente se formó una masa pero esta vez suave y con fluidos.

En septiembre del 2021, tuvieron que extraer el diente; la raíz estaba consumida y era un foco infeccioso.

En octubre del 2021, le realizaron una tomografía maxilar con contraste donde corroboraron que la lesión había regresado, estaba además consumiendo gran parte del tejido óseo de todo el maxilar superior.

En noviembre del 2021, comenzó un tratamiento de infiltraciones Intralesional de dos ciclos, para disminuir o tratar de eliminar la lesión.

Al terminar los ciclos en Mayo del 2022, la tomografía de control arrojó que la lesión no había respondido satisfactoriamente al tratamiento; había crecido mucho más y estaba invadiendo todo el maxilar superior, seno nasal bilateral y piso fosa nasal.

Actualmente, es necesario retirar la lesión mediante una cirugía invasiva. Se debe extraer todo el maxilar (incluyendo los dientes), reconstruir con injerto óseo y posteriormente colocar implantes dentales.

Es una operación extremadamente costosa y necesitamos de su ayuda para poder cubrir todos los gastos asociados.

Hello, my name is Elysmar, I am currently raising funds for my sister Yulenny Bencomo, 34 years old. She has a rapidly growing invasive benign tumor that is consuming her maxillofacial bones at an escalating rate. Knocking out her teeth, changing her smile and nose drastically, causing extreme pain and difficulty chewing.

In October 2020, Yulenny began to feel a small, hard mass on her palate. It was approximately 2 cm, it caused discomfort, but it did not hurt.

She went to the doctor and through a biopsy, she was diagnosed with a "Central Giant Cell Granuloma (CGCG)", a benign tumor of aggressive nature and accelerated growth.

In January 2021, they performed a curettage where they had apparently managed to remove the lesion. A second biopsy was performed, where the initial diagnosis was corroborated.

In May 2021, when the palate began to heal, she began to feel a lot of pain and sensitivity in the upper central incisor (piece 2. 1), they performed a root canal treatment, 3 months later, she began to experience severe pain in that same tooth, sensitivity, and mobility. In turn, the pain in the palate returned and a mass was formed again, but this time soft and with fluids.

In September 2021, they had to extract the tooth; the root was consumed as it was infected.

In October 2021, they performed a contrast-enhanced maxillary CT where they confirmed that the lesion had returned and was also consuming a large part of the bone tissue of the entire upper jaw.

In November 2021, a two-cycle Intralesional infiltration treatment began, to try to reduce or eliminate the lesion.

At the end of the cycles in May 2022, a CT scan showed that the lesion had not responded satisfactorily to treatment; it had grown much larger and was invading the entire upper jaw, bilateral nasal sinus, and floor of the nostril.

Currently, it is necessary to remove the lesion by invasive surgery. The entire maxilla (including the teeth) must be extracted, reconstructed with bone graft and then dental implants placed.

It is an extremely expensive surgery, and we need your help to be able to cover all the associated expenses.
