Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar a Raquel Lo Bello Imazio en su dura lucha contra el cáncer.

Nuestra querida amiga, mamá de Paloma y Eugenia, y orgullosa abuela de tres, ha sido diagnosticada con cáncer de ovarios, Etapa 4.

Este devastador diagnóstico ha tomado por sorpresa a todos los que la rodeamos, especialmente considerando que en un chequeo general realizado hace apenas tres meses, la enfermedad no fue detectada. Hace algunas semanas, Raquel comenzó a experimentar fuertes dolores y decidió acudir al hospital, donde se le diagnosticó cáncer terminal, con una expectativa de vida incierta.

La noticia fue demoledora para toda su familia. Comprendimos que las posibilidades de supervivencia aumentarían sustancialmente con una intervención eficaz y urgente. La familia decidió que lo más adecuado era operarla en España. Y es allí donde se le hizo la cirugía. La intervención, si bien extremadamente compleja, ha sido exitosa.

En este momento Raquel se encuentra nuevamente en Miami recuperándose de la intervención y acumulando fuerzas para comenzar la quimioterapia. El impacto emocional y el constante dolor que experimenta son difíciles de sobrellevar. No obstante, Raquel sigue luchando con increíble valentía.

Inevitablemente los costos médicos han comenzado a acumularse: medicamentos, análisis, procedimientos, cirugía, consultas a especialistas… y los gastos continuarán con la quimioterapia y el proceso de recuperación.

Esto ha puesto una gran presión económica sobre la familia, la cual ya ha consumido todos sus ahorros. Para ayudar en esta angustiosa situación, estamos acudiendo a vuestro apoyo y colaboración. Lamentablemente, Raquel no califica para Madicare ni Madicaid, los programas de ayuda del Gobierno Americano.

Cualquier contribución, grande o pequeña, será inmensamente apreciada y permitirá que Raquel se concentre en su recuperación sin la preocupación financiera.

We are raising funds to help Raquel Lo Bello Imazio in her tough battle against cancer.

Our dear friend, mother of Paloma and Eugenia, and proud grandmother of three, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer.

This devastating diagnosis took everyone around her by surprise, especially considering that a general check-up just three months ago did not detect the disease. A few weeks ago, Raquel began experiencing severe pain and decided to go to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, with an uncertain life expectancy.

The news was crushing for her entire family. We understood that her chances of survival would increase significantly with an effective and urgent intervention. The family decided that the best option was to operate on her in Spain. And it was there that the surgery was performed. The operation, although extremely complex, was successful.

Raquel is now back in Miami, recovering from the surgery and gathering strength to begin chemotherapy. The emotional impact and constant pain she experiences are difficult to bear. Nonetheless, Raquel continues to fight with incredible courage.

Inevitably, medical costs have started to accumulate: medications, tests, procedures, surgery, specialist consultations... and the expenses will continue with chemotherapy and the recovery process.

This has placed a great financial strain on the family, who have already exhausted all their savings. To help in this distressing situation, we are reaching out for your support and collaboration. Unfortunately, Raquel does not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid, the American Government's aid programs.

Any contribution, big or small, will be immensely appreciated and will allow Raquel to focus on her recovery without the financial burden.
