Professor Pedro Alemán Guillén urgently needs our help. At 51, he has been diagnosed with a severe obstructive atherosclerotic disease (SOAD) affecting the main arteries of his heart. A recent catheterization revealed blockages in the left anterior descending artery (LAD), the circumflex artery (CX), and the right coronary artery (RCA).

To save his life, his medical team has recommended coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, with multiple bypasses: a) RIMA to LAD Bypass: A graft using the right internal mammary artery to restore blood flow to the left anterior descending artery; b) LIMA to MB Bypass: Another graft with the left internal mammary artery to the marginal branch; and c) Saphenous Vein Grafts to OM and PDA: Two more grafts using a segment of the saphenous vein for the obtuse marginal and posterior descending arteries.

The cost of this life-saving surgery in Venezuela exceeds $40,000 USD, a sum he cannot afford.

El profesor Pedro Alemán Guillén necesita nuestra ayuda urgente. Con 51 años, ha sido diagnosticado con una grave enfermedad aterosclerótica obstructiva severa (EACOS) que afecta a las principales arterias de su corazón. Un reciente cateterismo reveló obstrucciones en la arteria descendente anterior (DA), la circunfleja (CX) y la coronaria derecha (CD).

Para salvar su vida, el equipo médico ha indicado una cirugía de revascularización miocárdica quirúrgica, o bypass coronario, con múltiples puentes: a) Bypass AMD a DA: Un puente con la arteria mamaria derecha para restaurar el flujo sanguíneo a la arteria descendente anterior; b) Bypass AMI a RM: Otro puente con la arteria mamaria interna a la rama marginal; y c) Bypass Safeno a MO y DP: Dos puentes más, utilizando la vena safena, para las arterias obtusa marginal y descendente posterior.
