Como es de su conocimiento, mi tía Clara fue ingresada al hospital a causa de un ACV (accidente cerebrovascular). Tuvo que ser intervenida de urgencia mediante una neurocirugía, con el diagnóstico de hemorragia subaracnoidea intracefálica grave, causada por un aneurisma, y posteriormente pasó a cuidados intensivos debido al cuadro de ACV y una neumonía por broncoaspiración.

Actualmente, ella se encuentra aún hospitalizada. Fue sometida a una traqueotomía para estabilizar su respiración y próximamente se le realizará una gastrostomía para facilitar su alimentación. Su movilidad es mínima; abre los ojos. Por el momento, la parte derecha de su cuerpo no presenta movilidad, pero estamos esperanzados de que, con su fortaleza y las terapias, esto cambie.

Esta recaudación está dedicada a apoyar a mi tía Clara y su familia durante estos momentos sumamente difíciles. Sus donaciones ayudarán a cubrir parte de sus gastos médicos, así como las terapias de fonoaudiología y físicas de larga duración, para que pueda recuperar su movilidad y capacidad de comunicación, entre otros cuidados especiales que necesita, como la asistencia de una enfermera. Cualquier apoyo, por pequeño que sea, hará una gran diferencia.

Dear family and friends,

As you may know, my aunt Clara was admitted to the hospital due to a stroke (cerebrovascular accident). She had to undergo emergency neurosurgery, with the diagnosis of severe subarachnoid intracerebral hemorrhage caused by an aneurysm, and was subsequently transferred to intensive care due to the stroke and pneumonia from aspiration.

Currently, she is still hospitalized. She underwent a tracheotomy to stabilize her breathing and will soon have a gastrostomy to aid her feeding. Her mobility is minimal; she opens her eyes. At the moment, the right side of her body has no mobility, but we are hopeful that, with her strength and the therapies, this will change.

This fundraising is dedicated to supporting my aunt Clara and her family during these extremely difficult times. Your donations will help cover part of her medical expenses, as well as long-term speech and physical therapy, to help her regain mobility and communication skills, among other special care she needs, such as nursing assistance.
