Hola me llamo Manuela Dubuc y la mujer que ven en la foto es mi mamá Rosanna y necesita ayuda.

En diciembre del 2022 mi mamá comenzó a presentar síntomas de menopausia: sangrado constante. Sin embargo, el sangrado de mi mamá se volvió atípico cuando comenzó a ser un flujo abundante y muy doloroso para ella, por lo que decidimos consultar con un doctor. El 4 de enero los doctores le dijeron a mi mamá que tenia que hacerse un curetaje y legrado, un procedimiento prácticamente rutinario para esta situación. El 5 de enero le hicieron el procedimiento y del legrado sacaron un tejido para hacerle una biopsia y descartar que no fuese algo más grave. Sin embargo, los resultados de la biopsia no fueron los que esperábamos.

A mi mamá le diagnosticaron HIPERPLASIA ENDOMETRIAL COMPLEJA CON ATÍPIAS (HIPERPLASIA DE ALTO GRADO), que es la más agresiva de 4 posibles. La operación que le tocaría es una histerectomía total lo antes posible, de no someterse a esta operación hay una alta probabilidad que desarrolle cáncer de cuello uterino.

Mi familia se mudó hace 4 años a Querétaro Mexico, y aunque estamos teniendo una mejor calidad de vida que la que teníamos en Venezuela aún no hemos podido tener seguro médico. Consideramos optar por un sistema de salud público para la operación de mi mamá, sin embargo la fecha estimada para su operación sería dentro de 3 meses y los doctores nos advirtieron que esperar ese tiempo ya podría ser muy tarde y generar el cáncer.

La buena noticia de todo esto es que estamos súper a tiempo de eliminar la amenaza que tiene mi mamá, pero cada minuto cuenta. Es por eso que decidimos hacer este GoFundMe. Lo más económico que hemos conseguido y que incluye todo el tratamiento, operación, quirófano, cirujano, oncólogo, 3 días de hospitalización, citas post operatorias y medicinas tiene un costo aproximado de 6.000 dólares.

Dada la inmediatez de la situación, porque queremos operar a mi mamá este mismo mes, les pedimos nos ayuden con un donativo o difundiendo esta campaña. Quienes conocen a mi mamá saben que es una mujer fuerte, buena y abnegada. En momentos difíciles para otros ella ha sido una asesora, consejera y voluntaria para muchísimos proyectos que han ayudado a miles de personas. Es momento que toda la ayuda que mi mamá dió se la retribuyamos para salvarla.

Hello, my name is Manuela Dubuc and the woman you see in the photo is my mother Rosanna and she needs help.

In December 2022, my mom began to present symptoms of menopause with constant bleeding. However, my mom's bleeding became atypical when it began to be profuse and was very painful for her, so we decided to see a doctor.

On January 4, the doctors told my mom that she had to have a curettage, a routine procedure for this situation. On January 5, she had her curettage and doctors removed tissues to perform a biopsy and rule out that it was not something more serious. However, the results of the biopsy were not what we expected.

My mom was diagnosed with COMPLEX ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA WITH ATYPIA (HIGH-GRADE HYPERPLASIA), which is the most aggressive of 4 possible ones. The surgery that has to be done is a total hysterectomy, and it was recommended to do it as soon as possible, to avoid the high probability of developing cervical cancer.

Our family moved to Querétaro Mexico 4 years ago, and although we are having a better quality of life than what we had in Venezuela, we still have not been able to have health insurance. We considered opting for a public health system for my mother's operation, however, the estimated date for her operation is within 3 months and the doctors warned us that waiting that time could already be too late and cause cancer.

Following the recommendation of the doctors and understanding every minute counts we decided to do this GoFundMe. The cost for the surgery, operating room, surgeon, oncologist, 3 days of hospitalization, post-operative appointments and medicines has an approximate cost of $6,000.

Given the immediacy of the situation, and because we want my mother to have a surgery not later than this month, we have organize this campaign and with the generosity of many and by spreading the word we hope to raise everything for her surgery on January 23rd.

Those who know my mom know that she is a strong, good generous woman and that In difficult times for others, she has been an adviser, counselor, and volunteer for many projects that have helped thousands of people. We think it is a good time that all the help she have done comes back to her.
