Mi madre siempre ha sido una mujer responsable y trabajadora, es jubilada con más de 40 años de servicio como empleada pública y siempre, siempre ha dado lo mejor de ella para ayudar a sus familiares, amigos y conocidos. Desde el año
2005 ha venido trabajando ad honores en la fundación de asistencia religiosa en las comunidades FUNDAREC, llevando una luz a los más necesitados.
En septiembre de 2019 fue diagnosticada con cáncer de pulmón con una Lesión Ocupante de Espacio (LOE) de 2,5 cm y otra lesión en el Mediastino de 5,4 x 4,7 cm.
Yo, Maryluz Rojas, hija única y sin familia dentro del país, he hecho hasta lo imposible por llevar a cabo su tratamiento. Todos conocemos la situación actual que atraviesa Venezuela y lo difícil que es conseguir insumos y atención oncológica, especialmente en estos momentos de pandemia, con escasez de gasolina, agua, fallas de internet y electricidad.
A través de varios familiares hemos logrado conseguir dinero para realizarle 36 ciclos de radioterapia y 6 de quimioterapia, además del tratamiento y todos los medicamentos requeridos hasta ahora, logrando una reducción importante del tamaño del tumor en pulmón en 40 %. Gracias a Dios la lesión en el mediastino se redujo también en un 80%.
Sin embargo, aún necesita varios ciclos de quimioterapia adicionales, un examen llamado PET Scan para verificar que no tiene alguna otra célula cancerígena en su cuerpo, una operación para extraer el resto del tumor, y tratamiento para acompañar todo el proceso que podría salvar su vida.
El dinero que pedimos es para costear los ciclos restantes de quimioterapia, el PET Scan, los medicamentos que acompañan todo el tratamiento y algunos gastos de movilización, debido a que me he visto en la necesidad de hacer una pausa en mi profesión y dedicarme a atender a mi mamá, trasladarla a sus tratamientos, quimioterapias, consultas, cocinarle, darle sus medicinas y acompañarla en las noches de dolor.

My mother has always been a responsible and hard-working woman, she is retired with more than 40 years of service as a public employee and always, she has always given her best to help her family, friends and acquaintances. In September 2019, she was diagnosed with lung cancer with a Space Occupying Injury (LOE) of 2.5 cm and another lesion in the Mediastinum of 5.4 x 4.7 cm.
I, Maryluz Rojas, her only daughter and without family within the country, have done everything possible to carry out her treatment. We all know the current situation that Venezuela is going through and how difficult it is to get supplies and cancer care, especially in these times of pandemic, with a shortage of gasoline, water, internet and electricity failures.
Through several family members we have managed to raise money to perform 36 cycles of radiotherapy and 6 of chemotherapy, in addition to the treatment and all the medications required so far, achieving a significant reduction in the size of the tumor in the lung by 40%. Thank God the injury to the mediastinum was also reduced by 80%.
