Ayudemos a la Dra. Zoraima "Micoyo" Marmol

La Dra. Zoraima Mármol, a quien cariñosamente llaman Micoyo, ginecóloga y obstetra con casi 40 años de experiencia, ha atendido y ayudado a miles de pacientes. Durante casi 10 años trabajó en el hospital público “Dr. Jesús Yerena”, conocido como el hospital general de Lídice, sin recibir mayores beneficios económicos. Ella continúa trabajando, con más compromiso que nunca, por sus pacientes, familia y por su país.
Hoy le toca a ella pedir apoyo. La semana pasada fue diagnosticada con cáncer de mama. Afortunadamente, se le detectó a tiempo y todavía está en una etapa temprana. Tomar acciones inmediatas elevaría la probabilidad de erradicarlo completamente con un mínimo riesgo de recidiva.
Los médicos tratantes están apoyando incondicionalmente el tratamiento de Micoyo, pero igualmente hay que costear los insumos y medicamentos del proceso. El tratamiento inicial consiste en lo siguiente:
- Cirugía para la extracción del tumor o las mamas, el 16 de enero de 2019.
- Sesiones diarias de radioterapia durante 6 semanas.
- Medicamentos de cuidado y preventivos durante 5 años.
En la cirugía se determinará si hace falta algún procedimiento adicional, por ejemplo: quimioterapia.
Honestamente la cifra que necesitamos para cumplir con este proceso inicial es muy difícil de reunir entre los familiares. Por eso pedimos tu apoyo. Con tu aporte, y el de muchas personas, Micoyo podrá recuperarse muy pronto y así continuar con una vida plena como mujer, madre, abuela, hermana; ejerciendo su labor como médico y ayudando a tantas mujeres que lo necesitan.

Dr. Zoraima Mármol, who is affectionately called Micoyo, gynecologist and obstetrician with almost 40 years of experience, has attended and helped thousands of patients. For almost 10 years she worked in the public hospital "Dr. Jesus Yerena ", known as the general hospital of Lídice, without receiving greater economic benefits. She continues to work, with more commitment than ever, for her patients, family and her country.
Today it is her turn to ask for support. Last week she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, this has been detected on time and is still at an early stage. Taking immediate actions will increase the likelihood of eradicating it completely with minimal risk of recurrence.
The treating physicians are unconditionally supported in the treatment of Micoyo, but there is also a need to pay for the supplies and medicines of the process. The initial treatment consists of the following:
- Surgery to remove the tumor or breast, on January 16, 2019.
- Daily sessions of radiotherapy for 6 weeks.
- Care and preventive medicines for 5 years.
In the surgery it will be determined if any additional procedure is needed, for example: chemotherapy.
Honestly the amount we need to fulfill this initial process is very difficult to gather among the relatives. That's why we ask for your support. With your contribution, and that of many people, Micoyo will be able to recover very soon and thus continue with a full life as a woman, mother, grandmother, sister; exercising her work as a doctor and helping so many women who need it.
