Jose necesita de tu ayuda para realizarse una cirugía y así tener un tratamiento certero.

 

Quiero contarles un poco de la historia de mi esposo, Jose Ignacio. Él es médico Venezolano ejerciendo en Ecuador, que ama totalmente su carrera. Tiene 30 años y un gran futuro por delante, es un gran esposo, hijo, nieto, hermano, sobrino, primo, tío, cuñado y amigo.

 

Hace 8 meses por un hallazgo casual se detectó una masa a nivel de cuello, inmediatamente acudimos a realizar una ecografía, la cual arrojo como resultado que se trataba de un Ganglio inflamado, seguido a esto se realizó un estudio de tomografía la cual detecto hallazgos que podrían ser sugestivos de malignidad a nivel de cuello y tórax.

 

Comenzamos consultas de seguimiento oncológico, por el cual se tuvo que realizar una punción para extraer liquido y poder tener un diagnostico más certero, la misma arrojo un resultado benigno. Por lo cual el especialista nos recomendó realizar seguimientos continuos trimestrales para ver la evolución del mismo.

 

Hace algunos días en el chequeo correspondiente se visualizó en la nueva ecografía un crecimiento del doble del tamaño, el primer mes estaba en 2.76 x 1.76cm y ahora se encuentra en 5.5 x 3.8cm. Realizamos nuevamente un estudio tomográfico en el cual se evidenciaron nuevas adenopatías (glangios) a nivel de tórax.

 

Razón por la cual necesitamos urgentemente realizar una operación para asī poder con los resultados de la biopsia comenzar lo antes posible un tratamiento con quimioterapia, ya que los hallazgos de crecimiento, las sudoraciones nocturnas que está padeciendo y algunos síntomas indican que se trata de un Linfoma.

 

Lamentablemente el seguro que disponemos no cubre la cirugía, tampoco la biopsia ni los gastos que involucran el posible tratamiento de la enfermedad a la que como familia nos estaremos enfrentando.

 

Creo que para nadie es fácil escuchar la palabra cáncer como un posible nuevo estilo de vida, el cual da muchísimo miedo y más aún estando lejos de casa, ya que estamos en un país sin nuestra familia más allegada. Pasar todo esto implica mucha fuerza emocional y mental y ademas de esto tener que preocuparnos tanto por el tema económico es algo muy agobiante.

 

Por esta razón les solicito de corazón su posible ayuda, agradecería de todo su aporte para hacer la cirugía lo más rápido posible ya que como nos explica el especialista el tiempo en estos casos es determinante, y puede jugar a nuestro favor o en contra.

I want to tell you a little about the story of my husband, José Ignacio.

 

Jose is a Venezuelan doctor, currently working in Ecuador, who totally loves his career. He is 30 years old and has a great future ahead of him. Jose is a great husband, son, nephew, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.

 

Eight months ago, due to a random finding, an unusual formation was detected in his neck. He immediately got an ultrasound, that diagnosed a swollen lymph node. The ultrasound was followed by a tomography study that revealed findings that were suggestive of neoplasms in the neck and chest.

 

He started the oncological reviews, for which a puncture was necessary to extract the fluid and to have a more accurate diagnosis, thankfully at the time, it came out as a benign result. The specialist advised us to carry out continuous quarterly follow-ups to see the evolution.

 

A few days ago in the related review, Jose got a new ultrasound that showed the node had grown twice the size in comparison to the first ultrasound, the initial test showed the node was 2.76 x 1.76 cm and it now measures 5.5 x 3.8 cm. A tomographic study was carried out again in which new lymphadenopathy (glangia) in the chest was highlighted.

 

As a result of the last study, Jose urgently needs to perform a surgery so he can start a chemotherapy treatment as soon as possible. Unlucky, this is only possible after an intervention is done and he gets the results of the new biopsy. All the symptoms so far indicate that the node is a lymphoma .

 

Unfortunately, the insurance he has does not cover surgery, biopsy or expenses related to the treatment.

 

I think it is not easy for anyone to hear the word cancer as a possible new lifestyle, cancer is a very scary diagnostic and even more so in our situation, away from home, given that we are in a country without our closest family. Going through all this involves having a lot of emotional and mental strength. And believe it or not, the financial issue is something very overwhelming.
