Ella es Virginia Sandoval, conocida entre todos sus amigos como Gigi, es Venezolana de 30 años y vive actualmente en Maracaibo, Venezuela. Fue diagnosticada recientemente con el linfoma de Hodgkin en mediastino.
El linfoma de Hodgkin es un tipo de cáncer que se presenta en el sistema linfático. El sistema linfático es parte del sistema inmunitario.
Virginia actualmente esta recibiendo tratamiento de quimioterapia sin embargo necesita correr con los gastos de la aplicacion del mismo, asi como realizarse varios estudios especializados, entre ellos: PET scan, tomografia de torax, abdomen y pelvis, y otros. La mayoria de estos examenes tienen que ser realizados fuera de la ciudad debido a que Maracaibo no cuenta con los equipos especializados , es por ello que tambien necesita correr con gastos de traslado y estadia.
Ademas requiere de cuidados especificos ya que su sistema inmunologico esta muy debil y los lugares donde ella va a permanecer durante su tratamiento deben mantener ciertas condiciones ambientales para evitar que su salud se vea afectada .
De igual forma necesita insumos medicos descartables, medicamentos como dexametasona, ranitidina, ondansetron, solucion fisiologica y diferentes antibioticos.

Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of cancer that occurs in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system.
Virginia is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment however she needs to pay the expenses of the applications, as well as perform several specialized studies, among them: PET scan, chest, abdomen and pelvis tomography, and others. Most of these exams have to be done outside the city due to the lack of specialized equipments in Maracaibo which is why she also needs to paid for transportation and hospitality expenses.
She also requires specific care since her immune system is very weak and the places where she will remain during her treatment must maintain in certain environmental conditions to prevent her health being affected.
Likewise she is in need of disposable medical supplies and medicines like dexamethasone, ranitidine, ondansetron and different antibiotics.
