Felipe is a noble, kind, and responsible young man who is always willing to help others. He is one of those people who light up any room with their very presence. He is currently in his second semester of automotive mechanics studies and works tirelessly in the service department at Toyota in Odessa, Texas, striving every day to build a better future for himself.

However, Felipe was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

This news has been devastating for our entire family.

Despite the distance, he is supported by the love of his mother back in Venezuela; currently, however, he is under my care here in the United States. I have had to take many days off work to accompany him to every appointment, medical test, and treatment session, because Felipe is not alone in this battle.

The treatment he faces is rigorous: 12 sessions of chemotherapy.

Although he has health insurance, the reality is that it does not cover all the expenses. Each treatment session entails high copays, in addition to costs for medications, diagnostic tests, and constant transportation needs. Little by little, the financial burden has become incredibly difficult to sustain.

Today, we turn to you with humility and hope.

Felipe es un muchacho noble, amable, responsable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los demás. Es de esas personas que iluminan cualquier lugar con su forma de ser. Actualmente está estudiando el segundo semestre de mecánica automotriz y trabaja con mucho esfuerzo en el departamento de servicio de Toyota en Odessa, Texas, luchando día a día por salir adelante.

Pero recientemente, Felipe fue diagnosticado con Linfoma de Hodgkin grado 2.

Esta noticia ha sido devastadora para toda la familia.

A pesar de la distancia, cuenta con el amor de su mamá desde Venezuela, pero hoy en día está bajo mi cuidado aquí en Estados Unidos, he tenido que dejar de trabajar muchos días para poder acompañarlo en cada cita, estudio y tratamiento, porque Felipe no está solo en esta batalla.

El tratamiento que enfrenta es fuerte: 12 sesiones de quimioterapia.

Aunque cuenta con seguro médico, la realidad es que no cubre todos los gastos. Cada tratamiento implica copagos elevados, además de medicamentos, estudios, y costos de traslado constantes. Poco a poco, la carga económica se ha vuelto muy difícil de sostener.

Hoy acudimos a ustedes con humildad y esperanza.

Cada donación, por pequeña que sea, representa una ayuda enorme para que Felipe pueda continuar su tratamiento sin que el peso económico detenga su lucha. Si no puedes donar, compartir esta campaña también significa muchísimo para nosotros.
