Hola, mi nombre es Eyra, tengo 35 años, soy mamá de un hermoso niño de 4 años que es mi mayor motivación y de quien surgen mis fuerzas para luchar, esposa, hija, hermana, tía, amiga y voluntaria, ya que creo firmemente que cada uno desde donde estamos, podemos hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor!
En octubre del 2020 me encontraron un tumor en la base del cráneo, después de muchos exámenes y visitas a diferentes especialistas que no se arriesgaban a operar, encontramos a un equipo de ángeles que tomaron el caso, la ubicación del tumor hizo que el abordaje fuera complejo y por lo cual tuve que estar en tres diferentes procedimientos quirúrgicos en menos de un mes, el 26 de enero del 2021 después de 8 horas en quirófano lograron extraer el 50% del tumor, lamentablemente la biopsia arrojó un resultado que no esperábamos: Cáncer
Ahora estoy por iniciar la siguiente etapa de la lucha que es una ronda de radioterapia de 7 semanas (35 sesiones) y acompañada posiblemente de quimioterapias, con la esperanza que después de este tratamiento podré estar libre de esta enfermedad.
He vivido de primera mano la deficiencia de nuestro sistema de salud público en Honduras, el cual no es solamente precario sino lento y para vencer enfermedad lo mejor es actuar rápido, ya que cada día cuenta, por lo que hemos tenido que hacer todo en hospitales privados, el costo de las operaciones realizadas y el tratamiento posterior es alto y debemos costearlo con nuestros propios medios, por eso hoy me encuentro apelando a su buen corazón para poder completar el tratamiento y vencer esta enfermedad!
Estamos a la mitad de esta prueba pero con la fe puesta en Dios que libraré esta batalla para continuar cumpliendo el plan que Él tiene para mí en este mundo.

Hello, my name is Eyra and I am 35 years old. I am the mother of a handsome 4-year-old boy who is my greatest motivation and from whom my strength arises to fight, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend and a volunteer who firmly believes regardless of where we are, we can do our part to make this world a better place!
In October 2020 they found a tumor at the base of my skull. After countless examinations and visits to multiple specialists who would not risk operating, we finally found a team of angels who took the case. The location of the tumor made the approach complex so I had to undergo three different surgical procedures in less than a month. On January 26, 2021 after 8 hours in the operating room they managed to extract 50% of the tumor but unfortunately the biopsy yielded a result that we did not expect: Cancer
I am about to start the next stage of the fight – a 7-week round of radiotherapy (35 sessions), which will possibly be accompanied by chemotherapy, in the hope that I will be free of this disease.
To properly treat this illness, it is best to act quickly and make every day count. I have experienced first-hand the deficiency of our public health system in Honduras, which is not only precarious but slow, so we have had to do everything in private hospitals where the cost of the operations already performed and the subsequent treatment is high and we must pay for it with our own means. It is why today I find myself appealing to your good heart, so that you may help me be able to complete the treatment and defeat this disease!
We are halfway through this test and with our faith in God I will win this battle and continue fulfilling the plan He has laid for me in this world.
