Les presento a Elvira Loza. Tiene 68 años y toda su vida se ha sostenido con su propio trabajo. Quienes la conocen saben que, aun en los días difíciles, siempre le echa muchas ganas y, si está en sus manos, te echa la mano.

Hace poco sufrió un ataque al corazón. Salió del hospital y, apenas 4 días después, le dio un segundo ataque.

Gracias a Dios ya salió del hospital, pero su cuerpo quedó muy débil. A veces necesita oxígeno, y además vive con artritis, mala circulación y principios de osteoporosis. Se le enchuecaron las piernas y sus rodillas se inflaman. Camina muy poco y con mucho trabajo, siempre apoyada en una andadera.

Por si fuera poco, se quedó sin un lugar donde vivir. Una amiga le abrió las puertas de su casa y le dio techo, pero Elvira no puede trabajar por ahora y no tiene ningún ingreso mientras se recupera.

Estamos buscando ayuda para su pronta recuperación, que tomará unos 6 meses. Lo que se reúna será utilizado para:

Medicamentos y oxígeno

Citas y seguimiento médico

Alimentación y artículos de primera necesidad

Encontrar un lugar donde vivir

I’d like you to meet Elvira Loza. She is 68 years old and has supported herself through her own hard work her entire life. Those who know her know that, even on the hard days, she always gives it her all, and if it’s within her power, she will lend you a hand.

Not long ago, she suffered a heart attack and, just 4 days later, had a second one.

Thank God she is out of the hospital now, but her body was left very weak. At times she needs oxygen, and she also lives with arthritis, poor circulation, and early-stage osteoporosis. Her legs have become bowed and her knees swell. She walks very little and with great difficulty, always leaning on a walker.

On top of everything, she was left without a place to live. A friend opened her home and gave her a roof over her head, but Elvira cannot work right now and has no income while she recovers.

We are seeking help for her recovery, which will take about 6 months. The funds raised will be used for:

Medications and oxygen

Medical appointments and follow-up care

Food and basic necessities

Finding a place to live
